Read capacity as filled visits, not open slots. The booked plans of care are demand you already owe; meet that before chasing referrals.

The method

1. Sum committed demand. Active plans of care × prescribed visit frequency = visits/week you must place.
2. Measure true supply. Provider hours × realistic slots/hour, net of the measured no-show + late-cancel rate (by slot, not blanket).
3. Design the template to the case mix. Slot length and provider mix follow the disciplines and visit types; a template that fights cadence guarantees both gaps and overflow.
4. Close the leak. Reminders, an enforced cancellation policy, re-book-at-the-desk, and overbooking sized to the data.
