SkyyRose Social — Short-Form Video Plan
When to Use This Skill
- Planning a 30-day short-form video calendar for TikTok and Instagram Reels
- Structuring a batch-record session (1-2 shoots covering 2-3 weeks of content)
- Defining which videos go in which weeks based on the drop calendar and pillar rotation
- Building a repeatable short-form system that doesn't require daily production
- Generating video ideas with hooks, formats, and audio cues before scripting individual videos
DO NOT use this for individual video scripts (use skyyrose-social-tiktok-script), for carousel planning (use skyyrose-social-instagram-carousel), or for strategy-level decisions (use skyyrose-social-social-media-strategy). This is for the monthly short-form video plan specifically.
Brand Canon (non-negotiable)
- Every video closes with
Luxury Grows from Concrete. — burned in as text overlay on the final frame or spoken by Corey. Never drop the tagline to "save time." It is the brand's close, every time.
- Collection voice is non-negotiable across the plan. Each video is tagged to a collection or to brand-level. A Black Rose week does not bleed Love Hurts language into any video in that week.
- No hype-merchant production. Phone camera is fine. Authenticity beats overproduction. The brand's credibility is in the garment and the person wearing it — not a ring light and a green screen.
- Name, not SKU. "BLACK Rose Crewneck" in every script reference, title, and hook. Never "br-001" in any external-facing video element.
- One CTA per video. "Follow, share, AND comment AND click the link" = no CTA. The plan assigns one CTA per video slot.
- The Five for all aesthetic direction: Kith, Oaklandish, Culture Kings, Fear of God, Palm Angels. Not European luxury-house references.

Phase 1: Brief
Required Inputs
| Input | What to Ask | Default |
|---|
| Month / drop context | "What month is this plan for? Any drops, collections, or events in this window?" | Current month — no drops unless specified |
| Posting frequency | "How many videos per week? (SkyyRose recommends 4-5 weekdays)" | 5 per week (Mon-Fri) |
| Platform | "TikTok, Instagram Reels, or both?" | Both (same content, platform-adapted captions) |
| Batch capacity | "How many videos can be recorded in one session?" | 8-10 videos per session |
| On-camera presence | "Corey, model, hands-only, or text-on-screen?" | Mix: Corey + model by week |
| Collections in window | "Which collections are active or launching this month?" | All active collections |
GATE: Confirm drop calendar before building the plan. A drop week changes the pillar rotation for that week — product showcase and exclusivity slots move forward.
Phase 2: Outline
SkyyRose Video Pillar Mix
Derived from the 5-pillar content system (seeded from skyyrose-content-engine):
## 30-Day Video Pillar Allocation
Pillar 1: Product Showcase — 30% of videos (6 of 20)
Pillar 2: Culture & Community — 25% of videos (5 of 20)
Pillar 3: Brand Story — 15% of videos (3 of 20)
Pillar 4: Lifestyle — 20% of videos (4 of 20)
Pillar 5: Exclusivity / Drop — 10% of videos (2 of 20)
─────────────────────
+ 2 flex days for trends or spontaneous content
Weekly Format Rotation
| Day | Pillar | Format | Duration |
|-----------|-------------------|-----------------------------------------|----------|
| Monday | Brand Story | Talking head or founder voice-over | 30-60s |
| Tuesday | Product Showcase | Product reveal or styling transition | 15-30s |
| Wednesday | Culture/Community | POV, trend adaptation, or UGC response | 15-30s |
| Thursday | Lifestyle | "How to style" or aspirational b-roll | 30-60s |
| Friday | Product Showcase | Behind-the-scenes: production or packing| 15-30s |
Drop week override (when a new product launches):
- Monday: Pre-drop teaser (15s — hook only, no full reveal)
- Tuesday: Full product reveal (30s — canonical drop video)
- Wednesday: "Why this piece" story thread (30-60s)
- Thursday: Styling the drop (30-60s)
- Friday: Sold-out or "pre-order closes soon" — stated as fact, not pressure
GATE: Approve pillar mix and drop-week overrides before building the full calendar.
Phase 3: Write
30-Day Video Calendar
For each video, deliver:
## Day [N] — [Day of Week] — [Pillar]
**Collection:** [Black Rose / Love Hurts / Signature / Kids Capsule / Brand]
**Format:** [Talking head / Product reveal / POV / Transition / BTS / Text-on-screen / VO]
**Hook (first 3 sec):** "[Exact opening line or text overlay]"
**Topic:** [What this video is about — one sentence]
**Key takeaway:** [The single thing the viewer carries away]
**Duration:** [15 / 30 / 60 seconds]
**Text overlay (key card):** "[3-7 words that appear on screen at peak moment]"
**Audio suggestion:** [Trending sound name if applicable, or music style description]
**CTA:** [Follow / Comment [word] / Save / Link in bio — ONE action only]
**Batch session:** [Session 1 / Session 2 / Session 3 — for recording planning]
**Repurpose note:** [Can this become an IG carousel? An X/Twitter post? A Story clip?]
Batch Recording Guide
## Batch Strategy for SkyyRose
Session 1 (Week 1 + 2 content): 8-10 videos
- Set up once: dark/minimal background OR outdoor Oakland location
- Change garment between videos — each video should read as a distinct production
- Record all Corey talking-head content first; then model content; then hands-only or text-on-screen
- Lighting: natural window or soft diffused — not ring light (too "content creator", not brand)
Session 2 (Week 3 content): 5-7 videos
Session 3 (Week 4 + flex content): 5-7 videos
Total recording time: 3-4 hours across 3 sessions
Editing: 10-15 minutes per video (cuts, text overlays, audio sync, burned-in captions)
Scheduling: Use platform-native schedulers — TikTok Studio and Meta Business Suite
## What to wear for each session
- Black Rose week: pieces from the Black Rose collection, dark palette, silver accents
- Love Hurts week: Love Hurts pieces, crimson visible in frame
- Signature week: Signature pieces, gold accent visible; West Coast editorial setting
- Mixed / Brand weeks: any current collection that photographs well against the background
Trending Format Adaptation
## How SkyyRose Adapts Trends
1. Check TikTok Discover page and Reels trending audio at the start of each week
2. Save trending formats that can adapt to streetwear, Oakland culture, or product storytelling
3. Adapt within 48 hours of trend peak — format window closes fast
4. Keep 2 flex days per month for spontaneous trend response
5. Rule: Keep the format structure. Change the content to SkyyRose's world.
## Evergreen SkyyRose formats (always work, no trend dependency)
- "3 ways to style the [Product Name]" — consistent performer
- "POV: Your SkyyRose order just arrived" — unboxing with brand energy
- "Why this piece cost us [X] to get right" — construction truth
- "Stop [common streetwear mistake]. Here's what we did instead." — cultural authority
- "The [collection] collection, explained in 30 seconds" — discovery content
- Corey speaking directly to camera, one idea, 30 seconds — no format needed
Phase 4: Polish
Video Plan Checklist
- [ ] 20-22 videos planned (2-3 flex days reserved)
- [ ] Pillar percentages are correct: Showcase 30%, Culture 25%, Lifestyle 20%, Story 15%, Drop 10%
- [ ] Every video has a hook (first 3 sec) — not "Hey everyone, today I want to..."
- [ ] Duration assigned per format (reveal=15-30s, story=30-60s)
- [ ] "Luxury Grows from Concrete." closes every brand-story or product-reveal video
- [ ] One CTA per video — no stacking
- [ ] Batch session assigned to every video
- [ ] Repurpose notes included for cross-platform leverage
- [ ] Drop week override applied correctly if a launch is in this window
- [ ] Collection register tagged per video — no cross-attribution
- [ ] No European luxury house references in any hook or audio suggestion
- [ ] Trending audio suggestions dated — flag if over 72 hours from trend peak
Performance Tracking

| 2 | | | | | | | | |
...
**Weekly insight:** Which pillar and format performed best?
**Hook audit:** Which hooks earned watch-past-3-seconds? Which lost the viewer?
**Next week adjustment:** More of / less of — one sentence each.
**Trending format to test:** [One trend to adapt if relevant this week]

Anti-Patterns
- Planning without assigning batch sessions — if every video requires a separate setup day, the plan is unsustainable. Batch or the plan collapses by week 2.
- Every video is a talking head — vary: product reveal, b-roll, POV, transition, text-on-screen, behind-the-scenes. Format monotony trains the audience to scroll past.
- Hooks starting with "Hey guys" — the first 3 seconds are 80% of performance. "Hey everyone, so today I want to show you..." = audience lost before the content starts.
- Missing the tagline close — "Luxury Grows from Concrete." must close every brand-story or product-reveal video. Not optional. Not "when there's room." Built into the format.
- Drop week treated like a regular week — a new product launch changes the entire week's pillar rotation. Product Showcase and Exclusivity slots move to the top; Brand Story becomes drop context.
- Cross-collection register — a Black Rose video planned adjacent to a Love Hurts video should still carry its own register cleanly. Never mix language across back-to-back videos.
- Trending audio added without checking the window — recommending a sound that peaked 2 weeks ago makes the brand look behind. Date every audio suggestion; replace if > 72 hours post-peak.
- Multiple CTAs stacked — "Follow, save, AND comment the word DROP" is three CTAs competing. Pick one per video and write it like you mean it.
- Ignoring the repurpose column — every TikTok/Reel is also a potential X post, carousel slide, or Story clip. The repurpose note is not optional — it multiplies the plan's reach without multiplying the shoot.
- Over-polished production — ring light, green screen, and heavy motion graphics are wrong for this brand. Authenticity and construction quality are the credibility signals. Phone camera in good light is correct.
Recovery
- Cannot record 20 videos in a month: Reduce to 3 per week (12 videos). Consistency at 3 beats burnout at 5. Update the plan to 12-slot version and reassign batch sessions accordingly.
- Videos getting < 100 views: Hook audit first. Pull the 3 lowest-performing hooks and rewrite them. 80% of poor performance is determined by the first 3 seconds — don't change the content until you've exhausted hook variants.
- One platform performing, the other not: Double down on the performing platform for 2 weeks. Then do a format test on the underperformer — try a completely different format category (if talking head didn't work, try text-on-screen with VO).
- Running out of video ideas: Mine comments and DMs from recent posts. Every question is a video idea. Every "where did you get that?" is a styling video. Every "why does it cost X?" is a construction story.
- Drop delayed but video plan is locked: Move Drop Week videos to the new launch date. Swap in 2 Brand Story or Culture slots to fill the original drop week. Announce the delay on Stories, not in a scheduled video.
- Batch session canceled: Prioritize the Product Showcase and Drop videos if partial recording is possible. Brand Story and Lifestyle can be pushed a week without significant damage to the pillar ratio.
